Time Fixers
Title: Time Fixers
Author: Lee Matthew Goldberg
My Thoughts:
Miles Hardy has just saved his brother, Simon, and returned to their quiet hometown in Iowa—a place where crime is rare. However, peace remains elusive for Miles and his father, who are deeply worried about his mother’s declining mental health. She carries the weight of a traumatic past that has left lasting scars.
Determined to help her, Simon and Miles devise a plan involving time travel. Their goal is to journey back to 1999 and prevent their grandfather from losing his job—an event that set off a chain reaction of hardship and emotional distress for their mother.
Meanwhile, Miles is in a relationship with a girl whose own mother is lost somewhere in time. What will happen when she discovers that Miles has known about her mother’s disappearance all along?
This novel weaves together multiple subplots seamlessly, and the author handles them with skill. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I picked it up over the weekend and couldn’t put it down until I’d read the very last page.
