Review:

After reading the first installment of the Flame Series, I grew fond of Theresa Gage’s writing. Consumed with Fire is her latest release, and I was truly impressed by the storyline.

I found myself relating closely to Cassie—the weight of responsibility she carries mirrors the burden many of us feel when everything seems to rest on our shoulders. Though her clan looks up to her, she longs for companionship and someone she can lean on. On the other hand, King Roark is portrayed as a ruthless ruler whose past actions have earned him deep resentment.

As Cassie prepares her clan to defend the fortress against the king’s possible invasion, the questions linger: what obstacles will she encounter, and will she allow herself to accept help along the way? For me, this book carried a powerful reminder—that seeking guidance or support from others can sometimes be far wiser than struggling alone.
