Electric Summer
Title: Electric Summer
Author: Jedi Christensen
Electric Summer is a book worth picking up. What starts as a story about three friends chasing a dream soon spirals into something much darker when one of them is found dead inside the dazzling world of a high-tech theme park.
The author does an excellent job of balancing emotional depth with suspense. Nick and Judy’s grief feels real, which makes their determination to uncover the truth even more powerful. Scott isn’t just a plot device. His presence lingers throughout the story, making his loss hit hard.
Future World itself feels like a character. Its glowing attractions, artificial skies, and nonstop cheer create a chilling contrast to the secrets hiding behind the scenes. As the investigation unfolds, the story raises questions about power, corporate image, and how easily truth can be buried when profit is at stake.
With strong world-building, believable characters, etc, Electric Summer keeps you turning pages. I loved every bit of this book. It's a must read.
